At the crossroads of central convenience and culinary excellence sits KOKO, St. Louis’ newest restaurant/bar hotspot. KOKO is situated just seconds from the east and west bound routes of highway 44 and is neighbor to Maplewood, Webster Groves, The Hill and city staples such as Ted Drewes and Forest Park. Located at 3257 Ivanhoe, just inside the casual borders of South St. Louis, KOKO brings its succulent blend of Pan-Latin and Creole styles of cooking to St. Louis. Hearty servings, eclectic cooking style and ‘Comfort Foods’ are the backbone of this contemporary and welcoming setting. Inside KOKO you will find an elegant and yet modern bar area perfect for an appetizer and a drink or a meal and the game, paired up with a small and intimate seated dining room. Autumn-like colors adorn the walls and floors while accented by modern canvas ‘Loft Art’ style paintings. From the kitchen permeates the smells of Spanish and southern Creole style dishes, as they are prepared to perfection. KOKO specialty dishes, including the Asopao, are served in cast-iron kettle pots to maintain the warmth of the dish while allowing the diner to be served tableside. From Mussels with Curry and Coconut Milk, Duck and Andouille Gumbo, to the Hand-tossed Southern-style Fried Chicken, KOKO provides each guest with selections and tastes to keep the palette dancing. Gift certificate is valid Monday-Thursday & Sunday evenings for dine-in only. Not valid on major holidays.
